ensure every customer leaves our store informed and satisfied. As a
Budtender/Greeter, you’ll be the first and last face customers see, playing a critical role
in customer service, compliance, and daily store operations.
Position Overview:
The Budtender/Greeter is responsible for welcoming and assisting customers, verifying
IDs, guiding guests through our product offerings, and maintaining compliance with
Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations. You’ll support both
sales and security efforts, providing a smooth, safe, and professional experience from
entry to exit.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet and engage all customers warmly and professionally.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, usage, and effects to help guide
purchases. - Manage online pre-orders and assist with processing (pick & pack).
- Operate the Dutchie POS system accurately and efficiently.
- Professionally address customer concerns and escalate to management when
appropriate. - Inform customers about daily and weekly bundles.
Compliance & Security:
- Verify every customer’s ID (21+) upon entry, comparing with appearance to
ensure accuracy. - Maintain compliance with all CCC regulations and store protocols.
- Monitor security cameras and ensure no on-site consumption or loitering.
- Support vendor check-in/check-out processes, including ID verification and visitor badge distribution.
Store Operations:
- Direct customers to kiosks and assist with navigation of the menu and ordering
process. - Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming waiting area and sales floor.
- Assist with compliance stickering and product restocking.
- Support regular inventory counts, audits, and product intake.
- Answer phones with professionalism, offering clear information and directions.
- Communicate via radio with staff regarding deliveries, pre-orders, and store
updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with cannabis products or willingness to learn quickly.
- Comfortable operating POS systems (Dutchie preferred) and digital tools.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
